CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO — A total of 160 newly appointed police recruits bid farewell to their family and loved ones as they are about to depart for training after they took their oath here at Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1) on Friday morning, December 27, 2019.
Police Brigadier General Joel S Orduña, PRO1 Regional Director administered their oath of office and congratulated them for passing the rigid screening process set by the PNP and strictly implemented by the PRO1’s Regional Screening Committee (RSC).
In his message, PBGen Orduña stressed the importance of their transformation from pure civilians to become law enforcement officers. He reminded them also to train hard in order to be physically, mentally and spiritually prepared for the hardships of police works, and to become professional and competent public servants with high standard of morality and discipline.
The Regional Director emphasized to the recruits the PNP motto of Service, Honor and Justice and encouraged them to display the highest regard of public service.
“We will only serve one country. We will only observe one law. We will observe one vision under the Republic of the Philippines. Wala ng iba. Pilipinas muna bago ang pamilya, Pilipinas muna bago ang sarili,” he added.
The 160 new police recruits composed of 29 females and 131 males were received by Police Lieutenant Colonel Ricky P Neron, Regional Training Director, Regional Training Center 1 (RTC1) in Aringay, La Union for a 6 months Basic Recruit Course.
A Patrolman, the lowest rank in the PNP organization will be receiving a monthly basic pay of P29,668.00 exclusive of allowances while undergoing training. ●
