2 Spaghetti Gang members nabbed by the police

CALASIAO, Pangasinan – The police here nabbed two suspected members of the Spaghetti Gang in a dragnet operation they conducted on Dec. 11 here.

The suspects were identified as Jamben Castro Caraci, 20, and Norberto Salamat Tamayo, 22, both single and residents of Arrellano Bani, Dagupan City. The still unidentified third member managed to elude the police dragnet.

The police said the suspects were confirmed members of the Spaghetti Gang operating in Dagupan City and in the nearby towns of Pangasinan.

Caraci and Tamayo became suspicious when they spotted the police at the compound of Jollibee Fastfood Chain at Barangay San Miguel, Calasiao, Pangasinan and tried to escape aboard a motorized tricycle but they were cornered by the law enforcers in Arrellano Bani, Dagupan City. 

The police recovered from the suspects a handrill, faucets, electric water heater, hammer, screw driver, steel saw blade cutter, 7 meters long electric wires, assorted metals worth more or less P15,000.00 and a tricycle owned by Jollibee.

Caraci and Tamayo were turned over to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, Pangasinan (CIDG) for custody while a robbery case is being prepared against them.
