CAMP FLORENDO, LA UNION – The Regional Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee 1 (RLECC-1) chaired by Police Regional Director Chief Supt. Leopoldo N. Bataoil was chosen as the best among all other law enforcement committees in Luzon.
Bataoil received from Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita the award which was signed by PNP Chief Director General Avelino Razon, chairman of the National Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee (NALECC), in a ceremony held in Subic, Olongapo City recently.
The award was given to RLECC-1 for its successful conduct of impact programs of the PNP which include the “Pulis Ko, Teacher Ko” project under the “Adopt-a-School Program” of the Police Regional Office here.
The NALECC also recognized other RLECC-1 projects for giving life and meaning to the slogan, “The Police shall be seen, known, felt and experienced by the people” which faithfully adheres to the mandate of “Mamang Pulis” which is to “serve and protect the community.”
Bataoil credited the award to the entire police force and to all members of RLECC-1 for their proper implementation of law enforcement activities.
Bataoil said the police in the region are winning the hearts of the people and touching their lives because “our law enforcement activities have been effective”.
“Even our brothers and sisters in the mountains were encouraged to lay down their arms.We are winning the fight without firing our guns,” Bataoil said.
Also present during the awarding were Police Chief Supt. Silverio Alarcio Jr., head of NALECC Secretariat and Finance Undersecretary Gaudencio Mendoza Jr., chairman, committee on awards.#
