70 slots for PI in PRO1 approved

SAN FERNANDO CITY – Police Chief Supt. Leopoldo Bataoil, regional
director, announced that the National Headquarters in Camp Crame has
approved 70 slots for police inspector as unit quota for the Police
Regional Office here for this calendar year.

Bataoil said this is in compliance to the Lateral Entry Program of the PNP even as he  encouraged his men to apply for the slot as this is another step on the ladder of their profession.

The applicant must possess the following qualifications: he must be a graduate of BS Criminology and has passed the Criminology Licensure Examination (R.A. 6506); Age: not more than 46 years old upon oath taking for PNP applicants and at least 21 years old but not more than 30 years old upon oath taking for civilian applicants; Height: 1.62m for male and 1.57m for female. Weight: not more or less than 5 kgs. from the standard weight corresponding to his/ her height, weight, age and sex. Experience: at least three years in the uniformed police service.

The applicant must have undergone the following training: CRIDEC (PSIDC/PSNIC/PSTIC), Criminal Investigation and Detection Course (CIDC), SAF Commando Course, Police Intelligence Course (PIC) and PNP SCOUT Course.

Mandatory requirements for lateral entry: CSC form 212 (Revised 2005); College diploma/transcript of records; physical/medical clearance;  birth certificate; drug test report; neuro-psychiatric test; clearances from the barangay, police, mayor, fiscal/court, MTC, RTC, NBI, PNP, IAS, PLEB, legal service and Ombudsman; fingerprint and handwriting specimen;  passport size pictures taken within 6 months, white background with name tag (computer generated ID pictures are prohibited); eligibility (RA 1080, RA6506, BAR, CS Professionals); appropriate training (PNCOs only), and oath of office.

Bataoil said the serves as gateway to aspiring applicants for lateral entry in Region 1 police.
