CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO – Eight Police Commissioned Officers (PCOs) and 474 Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCOs) assigned in different police units and offices of Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1) took their oath l in a simple ceremony held at the PRO1 grandstand here last July 30.
Of the PCOs, three were promoted to police superintendent, 3 to police chief inspector, and 2 to police senior inspector. Of the PNCOs, 4 were promoted to senior police officer 4 (SPO4), 7 to SPO3, 20 to SPO2, 23 to SPO1, 139 to PO3, and 281 to PO2.
In his message, Police Chief Superintendent Franklin Jesus B. Bucayu, Region 1 police director, told the promoted personnel that their promotion is an acknowledgment of their professional competence. He reminded them that higher rank not merely implies more authority but also greater responsibility.
“Pahalagahan ninyo ang inyong pagiging pulis because not everybody is given the honor and privilege to belong to the noble profession of law enforcement. Your promotion should serve instead as an inspiration for greater service to the community,” he added. #
