8 new PRO1 civilian employees take their oath

CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO – Two hundred sixty eight newly-appointed non-uniformed personnel (NUP) of Police Regional Office 1 took their oath before Police Regional Director Chief Supt. Roman A. Felix in a simple ceremony held at the grandstand here November 10, 2014.

 

Comprising 181 computer operators/crime registrants and 87 radio operators, the new NUP will be assigned to the different police provincial offices (PPOs) and city/municipal police stations in Region 1.

 

In his message to the new members of the police force, Felix enjoined them to abide by the rules and regulations of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and align their virtues to the Chief PNP’s Strategic Focus: CODE-P 2013 and Beyond and his Five-Point Priority Action Plan.

 

“Simple lang ang nais ko… pakatandaan ninyo na kayo ay kawani ng gobyerno at bilang empleyado ng pamahalaan ay obligasyon ninyong gampanan ang inyong mga tungkulin na naayon sa lahat ng pinaiiral na mga batas at panuntunan na ipinapatupad ng Pambansang Pulisya,” he said.

 

He also stressed the importance of a strong working relationship between the NUP and uniformed personnel to ensure that the “Serbisyong Makatotohanan” of the PNP will be felt and experienced by the people particularly in Region 1.

 

Meanwhile, NUP Pia Dimaculangan, Chief Non-Uniformed Personnel Affairs Section (NUPAS), said that the PRO1 has an allotted quota of 516 and the 268 NUP who took their oath is part of the 495 successful applicants who passed the rigorous screening processes set by the selection board. The remaining 227 applicants will take their oath on November 30, 2014.

 

Twenty one slots of the said quota were also filled up by promotions, Dimaculangan added.

 

The successful NUP applicants underwent a series of examinations such as comprehensive examination, neuro (written and oral), medical, dental, drug test, skills test, qualifying test and final interview.

 

The new NUP will receive the following: Administrative Assistant III (SG-9) – P16,051.00/month; Admin Assistant I (SG-7) – P13,890.00; Administrative Aide VI (Communication Equipment Operator II, (SG-6) – P12,921.00, and Administrative Aide IV (CEO I) (SG-7 – P11, 181.00.#
