CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO- Philippine National Police officer in charge Deputy Director General Leonardo A. Espina rallied policemen in Region 1 to move on after the painful episode brought by the Mamasapano encounter on January 25 that killed 44
“As professional policemen whom our people depend on for their safety and security, life must go on for all of us. We have to continue, move on as one; never forgetting what happened, but let us move on for the sake of our people,” Espina said.
He also reminded his men to always maintain discipline in all their undertakings… “and to always observe proper decorum, yong pagka-disiplina, ugali, morality and personality”.
Espina visited the Provincial Regional Office 1 on March 5 and was accorded a simple but meaningful program by the officials and personnel here led by Chief Supt. Roman A. Felix, regional director.
Espina conferred medals of commendation to six La Union police officers who worked for the arrest of six suspects in a shooting spree in Agoo town on February 24, 2015 where 6 people were killed.
The PNP OIC conferred Medalya ng Papuri to Senior Supt. Ramon L. Rafael, Provincial Director of La Union Police Provincial Office (LUPPO); Supt. Eduardo L. Danguecan, La Union Intelligence Chief; Chief Inspector Artemio C. Infante, Agoo Police Station’s Chief; Senior Police Officer 4 Rainer Anthony V. Awkit; SPO2 Johny V. Silen; and, PO2 Efren B. Macadaeg.
He also presided the turn over of 52 units of patrol motorcycles for the different police units in the region that included seven motorcycles for Ilocos Norte; 28 for Ilocos Sur; 4 for La Union; 18 for Pangasinan; and one for the PRO1 liaison office.#
