260 recruitment quota given to PRO1

SAN FERNANDO CITY – Police Chief Supt. Romeo C. Hilomen announced that the police regional office was given 260 attrition recruitment quota for the second phase of calendar year 2008.

The following are the necessary qualifications, eligibilities and requirements set by the recruitment board.



A. A citizen of the Philippines;

B. A person of good moral character;

C. Must have passed the psychiatric or psychological, drug and physical tests to be administered by the PNP or by any government hospital accredited by the commission for the purpose of determining the physical and mental health;

D. Must possess a formal baccalaureate  degree from a recognized  institution of learning;

E. Must be eligible in accordance with the standard set by the commission;

F. Must not have been dishonorably discharged from military employment or dismissed for a cause from any civilian position in the govern-ment;

G. Must not have been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude;

H. Must be at least one meter and sixty-two centimeters (1.62m) in height for male and one meter and fifty-seven centimeters (1.57m) for female;

I. Must weigh not more than five kilograms (5kgs) from the standard weight corresponding to his or her height, age and sex;

J.Must not be less than twenty-one (21) nor more than thirty years (30) of age.

An applicant shall be consi-dered to be 21 years of age on his/her 21st birth date and shall be considered more than thirty (30) years of age on his or her 31st birth date.




An appointee must possess the appropriate eligibility acquired from any of the following examinations:


·R.A. 1080 (Bar and Board examinations)

·PNP entrance examination

·R.A. 6506 (Licensure Examination for Criminology Graduates)

·P.D. 907 (Granting civil service eligibility to college honor graduates )

·CSC Second Level Eligibility (Police Officer 1/Police Officer)




A. CSC Form 212 ( Revised 2005);

B.Birth certificate (authenti-cated by NSO);

C. Eligibility (authenticated by NAPOLCOM, PRC, CSC);

D.Two (2) pieces 2×2 black and white picture with name tag;

E. Transcript of scholastic records and diploma (duly authenticated by school registrar);

F. Clearances from the barangay, local police station, RTC/MTC and NBI;

G.  Medical certificate issued by local health officer.

Hilomen said interested applicants are advised to visit the municipal police station where they reside for the initial processing and evaluation on the completeness and authen-ticity of the documentary requirements that they will submit prior to their endorse-ment to the police provincial office.#
