30 new cops take oath

CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO – Thirty new police recruits of the Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1) took their oath at the Concord Building here on March 5 and will undergo the Public Safety Basic Recruit Course (PSBRC) in RTS2 in Cauayan, Isabela.

“This day marks your entry into the PNP, an agency whose members’ lives are continually in danger and where individual needs are subordinated by the objectives of the organization,” Police Chief Supt. Ricardo C. Marquez, PRO1 regional director, told the new police officers composed of 25 males and five 5 females.

He also reminded them that they are expected to give  the best service to the public and urged them to resist every temptation along the way in line with the PNP’s transformation program.

The oath-taking ceremony was witnessed by Regional Director of the National Police Commission Angelita Concepcion, the members of the regional screening committee led by Deputy Regional Director for Administration, Police Senior Supt. Rodel Calungsud, NAPOLCOM-RO1 Assistant Regional Director Evangeline Almirante, and Dr. Nora Peñaflor of the women’s sector.#
