32 policewomen complete SWAT training

SAN FERNANDO CITY – Thirty two policewomen have successfully completed the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) training conducted here recently.

Police Chief Supt. Leopoldo Bataoil, regional director, revealed the said training  which started on February 12 this year and administered by the Regional Mobile Group 1 headed by Group Director PSupt. Dionicio Borromeo was the first lady SWAT training that was conducted in the region.

Bataoil said that with their training, the lady SWATs are now fully equipped with skills to confront any critical situation and handle it properly.

He said that the lady SWATs will be deployed immediately and assigned to the place where they are most needed especially this coming elections.

The PRO-1 has now 404 SWAT trained personnel, 38 of them ladies.

The graduates have completed 70 days of rigid training in firearms handling and tactical operations.
