823 newly promoted Region 1 cops take oath

CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO – A simultaneous oath taking ceremony of newly promoted police personnel was held today, August 20, 2018.

PNP Chief Superintendent Romulo E Sapitula, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1) administered the donning of ranks and mass oath taking of the 224 newly promoted police personnel assigned in Regional Headquarters, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 1 and in La Union Police Provincial Office and National Support Units at the PRO1 Grandstand coincided with the Traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony.

Five hundred ninety nine (599) newly promoted police personnel assigned in Pangasinan, Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte likewise took their oath in their respective Police Provincial Offices.

PSupt. Reynaldo S. Ogay, Jr, Chief, Regional Personnel and Human Resource Development Division, said that a total of 823 newly promoted personnel comprised of 42 Police Commissioned Officers (PCOs) and 782 Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCOs) assigned in different police units of Region 1.

A total of forty two Police Commissioned Officers were promoted to include: thirteen (13) Police Chief Inspector; one (1) Police Senior Inspector; and 27 Police Inspector.

For Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCOs), 10 were promoted as Senior Police Officer 4; 19 for SPO3; 277 for SPO2; 81 for SPO1; 324 for Police Officer 3; and 53 for PO2.

PCSupt Sapitula said that the promotion of his personnel is one of his priorities as his way of recognizing their sacrifices, accomplishments and merit they displayed in the police service.

“As your Regional Director, I want you to instill DISCIPLINE all throughout your entire life in order for you to reach the edges of your goal.  Institutionalize the moral standards and reacquaint the values of humility, respect and courtesy. At sana ang inyong promosyon ay magpapaigting pa sa disiplina ng bawat isa sa inyo,’’ PCSupt Sapitula added.

The mass oath taking ceremony was graced by the NAPOLCOM Regional Director, Dir. Evangeline R.  Almirante, as a member of the Alternate Promotion Committee.
