Banana, a rich source of sustained energy

We know for a fact that banana has many health benefits. But do you know that banana contains three natural sugars – sucrose, fructose and glucose – which when they combined with fiber are rich source of immediate, sustained and substantial boost of energy?

Researches also revealed that eating two bananas can provide an athlete 90 minute strenuous workout. No wonder, banana is a must in the diet of an athlete to keep him fit in his training for competition.

Potassium is also excellent for relieving menstrual cramps and for fluid retention. It also helps minimize the risk of kidney stones.

As it is high in fiber, banana helps in restoring normal bowel action. Why resort to laxatives when we can overcome the problem by eating bananas?

Compared with the apple, banana has four times more protein, twice the carbohydrate, thrice the phosphorus, five times the Vitamin A and iron and twice the other vitamins and minerals.
