Cachero assumes PRO1 top post

SAN FERNANDO CITY -A former deputy regional director for administration of the police regional office 1 has assumed the PRO1 top post here recently.

Police Chief Superintendent Manuel H. Cachero, former  deputy regional director for administration of the PRO1 here, replaced Police Chief Superintendent Constante D. Azares, Jr. as the regional director here last June 22.

Azares retired from the police service on this date upon reaching the compulsory retirement age of 56.

Cachero’s designation as PRO1 acting regional director took effect on June 23 by virtue of General Order Number 1408 issued on the same date by the PNP National Headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

Cachero graduated from the Philippine Military Academy, Class 1978, with a master’s degree in government management and also holds the rank of Career Executive Officer VI (CEO VI).

A native of Naguilian, La Union, Cachero was the deputy director of the PNP Finance Service prior to his assignment to the PRO1 as deputy for operations in December 2008.

He was promoted to the star rank of police chief superintendent while serving as the deputy for administration of PRO1.#
