CAMP JOHN HAY PINE TREES. Mother and daughter walks under the shade of the pine trees in Camp John Hay. The number of trees at the former US military base has increased from 250,000-fully grown pine trees in 1997 to 602,350 in 2019, according to CJHDevCo Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer Shean Bedi. To support Baguio City’s re-greening program, CJHDevCo will continue the tree program by adding 242,350 pine seedlings and saplings. 60,000-coffee plants and 50,000-bamboo culms will also be planted.
