SAN FERNANDO CITY – The Civil Service Commission in Ilocos has recognized three government owned and controlled corporations which garnered the highest citizen’s satisfaction ratings in the region for 2013.
The Citizen’s Satisfaction Center Seal of Excellence was awarded to the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth)-Regional Office in Dagupan City, Government Service Insurance System, (GSIS)- La Union and four Land Bank of the Philippines branches in Agoo,La Union, Vigan,Ilocos Sur, San Carlos,Pangasinan and Dagupan City.
The award, which is pursuant to Republic Act No. 9485 otherwise known as the Anti-Red Tape Act (ARTA) of 2007.
CSC Chairman Franciso T. Duque III, who graced the event, said the awardees were worthy of their recognition for service excellence.
“Service excellence must be spread within the offices. I hope (the awardees) will be emulated by all other government agencies,” said Duque.
Duque also said that the increasing number of recipients of one of the much coveted CSC awards proves that the public can still expect the best service despite some controversies the government faces at present.
He also reminded the awardees that clients will be more demanding and more meticulous the next time they transact with them.
“With this new achievement, expect that your clients will set higher standards from you. But as long as you have the devotion and dedication to excellence, I have no doubt that you can sustain this accomplishment,” Duque said.
All the awardees were conferred a wall mountable glass seal and a cash incentive of P100,000 each as a reward to buy equipment and other materials which will further improve delivery of their frontline services.#
