DepEd-Dagupan City honors partners in education advocacy

CALASIAO, Pangasinan ­­– The Department of Education (DepEd)-Dagupan City Division recognized its stakeholders for their contribution and support during the Division Stakeholders’ Convergence 2018 held at Pangasinan Regency Hotel here on Tuesday.

Dr. Lorna Bugayong, CESO VI, schools division superintendent, said this endeavor has been conceptualized to give due recognition to the different stakeholdersand supporters of DepEd-Dagupan City through the years.

Awarded as “Certified DepEd Partners” were outstanding individuals, government agencies, non-government organizations, institutions from the academe, business, and media sectors as well as accredited contractors and suppliers.

In a message, Dr. Lourdes Servito, assistant schools division superintendent, expressed DepEd-Dagupan City’s appreciation to stakeholders who have been supportive of DepEd’s programs and advocacies.

“The main message for tonight is gratitude as we send our appreciation to our dear partners. We hope that you continue to be with us in our dreams and endeavor for the Dagupeno children,” she said.

One of the awardees for the media sector is the Philippine Information Agency (PIA)-Pangasinan.

PIA-Pangasinan has been an active partner in information dissemination down to the grassroots level on the programs and announcements of the schools division.

The awarding ceremony also highlighted the keynote speech of Dagupan City Mayor Belen Fernandez who underscored the important roles of synergy and friendship in achieving a common goal.

“For all these years, as your humble friend, our imagination made all of our dreams come true. And as friends, we all have the power to make little and big choices that can change the course of our young students and our public schools in Dagupan,” she added”. (April Montes-Bravo/PIA-1)
