DAGUPAN CITY – Some 104 business establishments in Pangasinan were recently conferred with the Bagwis Seal of Excellence awards by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) as a recognition of their commitment to provide good products and services to consumers.
Provincial Director Peter Mangabat of DTI-Pangasinan said the Bagwis Seal of Excellence is a recognition that the awardees have complied with the rules and regulations of fair trade and at the same time promote the welfare of the consuming public.
“Bagwis awardees see to it that complaints of their customers are properly handled because they have an established, self-regulated process or system to handle complaints through their Consumer Welfare Desks,” Mangabat told the Philippine Information Agency.
“Ito ay isang patunay sa mga mamimili upang kanilang tangkilikin ang mga DTI Bagwis stores upang sila ay matiyak na sila ay protektado at makakasigurong de-kalidad ang mga producktong kanilang mabibili sa tamang presyo,” he added.
This year, eight establishments were conferred with the Gold Bagwis Award.
These are the six branches of Puregold Price Club, Inc. located in Bonuan, Mayombo-Dagupan, Calasiao, Mangatarem, Bayambang and Villasis; Home Ideas Superstore-Calasiao; and the Sanford Marketing Corporation (Savemore)-Pozorrubio.
Meanwhile, there are at least 30 awardees for the silver category while 66 are bronze medalists for this year’s Bagwis awards.
