HONG KONG—FOUR Filipinos, a couple with their nephew, have been apprehended at the Chek Lap Kok after their luggage were found to contain heroin.
Heroin found in their luggage was more than 40 kilograms, the Sun said in its report.
Lolito Balila, who was transiting to Guangzhou was found to have had 26 kg. of heroin in his luggage, while other Filipinos who were also apprehended were carrying 21.7 kg. of drugs in their luggage.
Balila was arrested last August 21 and the couple and their nephew were apprehended last July 27. The couple’s two young children, who were with them during the trip, were fetched by their relatives at the Philippine Consulate who took care of them upon their parents’ arrest.
The three accused are scheduled to appear in court on November 17 while the fourth accused is due to appear in court on October 21.#
