Mayor Bueno said in the order that residents of Barangays Dammay, Oribi and Nagpanaoan can access the public market at any time and day of the week due to the difficulty of transportation to the public market from their respective barangays.
There will be checkpoints at the approach of the considered central business district (CBD) of the municipality manned by personnel of the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection and Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.
βResidents are reminded to use a face mask and bring their household pass with their identification card. Individuals who are not residents of the barangay scheduled for market day will not be allowed to enter the CBD unless for emergency or necessary situations and purposes,β he said.
He added, the LGU-Santa shall provide a free shuttle service to transport residents along the national highway, to and from the public market during the market schedule per barangay.
Aside from Santa, other LGUs implementing the market schedule include the municipalities of Narvacan and Santa Cruz.
Meanwhile, the City Government of Candon continues to bring the market closer to residents through its βMarket on Wheelsβ program as part of the local governmentβs response to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
