Milk contains the 3-building blocks of living things

Health authorities say we should drink 24 oz. of milk each day as it is a complete and ideal food. It is a great source of vitamins such as  vitamin A, D,  and B12, thiamine, riboflavin and niacin; nutrients such as carbohydrates, fats and proteins; and minerals such as calcium, phosphorous, sodium and potassium.

Studies said vitamins are abound in milk. Vitamin A maintains the immune system, helps maintain normal vision and skin.

Vitamin D enhances the absorption of calcium and phosphorus, and influences bone mineralization, the strengthening of bones, while B12 maintains healthy red blood cells and nerve tissue.

Thiamine (vitamin B1) helps in the growth, digestion and maintenance of healthy nerves and brain function; riboflavin (vitamin B2) helps produce energy in the body’s cells  and is vital in the development of the nervous system; Niacin (vitamin B3) keeps enzymes function normally and helps the body process sugars and fatty acids.

Milk contains carbohydrates and fats that are sources of energy and heat for vital metabolic processes, and protein which builds and repairs muscle tissue and helps in brain development. These nutrients are considered the three building blocks of living things.

Milk contains important minerals such as calcium, phosphorous, sodium and potassium. Calcium helps build and maintain strong bones; it is vital for nerve functioning, muscle contraction, and blood clotting. Phosphorus helps generate energy in the body’s cells and in strengthening the bones. Potassium is needed for maintaining and regulating the body’s fluid balance and blood pressure.  Sodium helps keep calcium and other minerals soluble in the blood; it also stimulates the adrenal glands and aids in preventing sunstroke.

Milk has properties that lower high blood pressure and risk of strokes. It reduces the liver’s production of cholesterol, and it can act as an antacid. Milk has also been shown to help lower cancer risk.

Milk has several nutrients which help skin look its best. It has lactic acid which can act as an exfoliant and enzymes to help smooth skin. It also has amino acids that help keep skin moisturized.
