The National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) announces the conduct of the PNP Entrance and Promotional Examinations on October 20, 2013.
On-Line Examination Application for PNP Entrance Examination opened on July 29 and will end on August 7, 2013 and the period of filing of application shall be on August 19-September 13, 2013.
On the other hand, the PNP Promotional Examination’s On-line application shall be on August 8-16, 2013 and the period of filing of application is on August 19-September 13, 2013.
Only applicants with a confirmed scheduled appointment with reference number shall be entertained and are required to file personally at the regional office. In view of resource constraints, the Office reserves the right to limit the number of examinees it will accommodate. Acceptance of application shall be on a first-come, first served basis and upon due notice, may be stopped even ahead of the deadline.
An applicant must first secure a scheduled appointment on-line before proceeding to the NAPOLCOM Regional Office on the confirmed scheduled appointment to file his/her application. Applicants are advised to report at the NAPOLCOM Regional Office at least 15 minutes prior to his/her scheduled date with their printed on-line confirmation letter and other required documents for further evaluation.
Walk-in applicants shall not be accepted/entertained while applicants who fail to come on his/her scheduled appointment shall lose their exam slot.
The successful examinees of the entrance examination will be conferred by the NAPOLCOM the PNP Entrance Eligibility which is appropriate for appointment to the rank of Police Officer 1. Also, those who will pass the promotional exam shall be conferred the eligibility appropriate for promotion to the rank corresponding to the exam’s Eligibility Rank Coverage (ERC).
The PNP entrance test is open to civilians who are bachelor’s degree holder, not more than 30 years old, 1.62 meters tall for male and 1.57 meters for female. The PNP entrance exam is also a requirement for PNP Officers with temporary status as Police Officer 1 who wish to have a permanent appointment in the police service. On the other hand, the promotional exam is open to all qualified uniformed members of the PNP, i.e. the Police Officers, Senior Police officers, Police Inspectors and Police Superintendents.
Examination fee is Php400.00 for the Police officer Exam, Php450.00 for the Senior Police Officer Exam, Php500.00 for the Inspector Exam and Php600.00 for the Police Superintendent Exam.
The exam coverage for the PNP entrance test consists of general information, verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning and logical reasoning; while the promotional exam includes general information, police administration, police operations and police values and ethical standards.
