To attain this objective, Lusad said he will consult with all stakeholders for him to get the best inputs that are needed in decision making processes. He likewise announced that he will pursue the Philippine National Police’s continuing effort of accounting loose firearms and arrest of wanted persons.

“Our people deserve the peace they long for, and this they must have,” Lusad said. He also assuredthat the Police under his command will be neutral in the upcoming elections. He called on all the unit commanders to be responsible.

He said violators of the law will have to face the consequences of their actions.

In choosing Lusad to the position, Cordillera Regional Police Director, Chief Superintendent Benjamin B. Magalong said, “(Lusad) is the very man he needed for the particular task especially during the upcoming elections as he has the expertise of investigation and human resource development.”

The Cordillera police is giving special attention to Abra which is one of the 15 provinces listed as ‘high risk’ in the May 13 elections.#
