CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO – With the intensified campaign against all forms of criminality, the Region 1 police scored after neutralizing one of the notorious gun-for-hires in an armed encounter in San Fabian, Pangasinan early this morning (December 26).
Police Chief Superintendent Romulo E. Sapitula, PRO1’s (Police Regional Office 1) Regional Director identified the suspect as Christian N. Bandarlipe also known as “Biloy” of legal age, with live-in partner and a resident of Barangay Longis Parac-Parac, San Fabian, Pangasinan.
PCSupt. Sapitula said, the armed encounter ensued at around 3:40 AM between the suspect and the joint operatives of Pangasinan police when the latter served a Search Warrant against Bandarlipe for violation of Presidential Decree 1866 as amended by Republic Act 8294 and further amended by R.A.10591.
Based on the report, the suspect upon sensing the presence of the police fired an unknown caliber of firearm prompting the police to fire back. As a result, the suspect sustained gunshot wounds on different parts of his body. The police rushed him to Region 1 Medical Center in Dagupan City, but he was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
PCSupt. Sapitula added that Bandarlipe was also charged in court for alleged killing of Brgy. Captain Eduardo Ronquillo of Brgy Bolo, San Jacinto; Mary Ann Aoanan, seven (7) month pregnant and a resident of Brgy. Bagong Pagasa, San Jacinto; and Brgy. Kagawad Domingo Ramirez Jr. of Brgy. Alacan, San Fabian, all in Pangasinan. He was also involved in illegal drug trade and robbery hold-up in Pangasinan.
The members of the SOCO team recovered at the crime scene one caliber .45 pistol with Serial Number 502863, one magazine for caliber .45, assorted live ammunition, different fired cartridges, 2 pieces heat sealed plastic sachets containing white substance believed to be shabu, 13 empty plastic sachets, aluminum foil, blue sling bag and one brown pouch. A brown purse containing two heat sealed transparent plastic sachets with crystalline granules and suspected marijuana leaves were recovered by the medical attendant of R1MC from the body of the suspect.
