Outstanding principal goes to Sinait NHS

SAN JUAN, Ilocos Sur — San Juan National High School Principal Marisa G. Valoria officially occupied the principal’s position at Sinait National High School (SNHS) as Principal IV, January 27, after her 2-year administration at San Juan National High School here from November 10, 2017 to January 26, 2020.

She replaced retired principal Antonio Fariñas.

In her farewell address during the send-off program tendered by the faculty and staff of San Juan NHS last January 31, Valoria, an outstanding SBM (School-Based Management) Implementer expressed her gratitude for the support given to her by the school employees, the Parent-Teacher Association, the municipal government of San Juan and all stakeholders for those 2 productive years as SJNHS principal.

During her administration, SJNHS won the following awards: Division Best-Managed School, SBM Level III Award, Best-Managed School Canteen (Sustainability Award), 2nd Best Brigada Iskwela Implementer (Mega School Category), Best PTA and Cleanest, Greenest and Safest School. SJNHS was also back-to-back regional nutri-jingle champion, a regional winner in Philhealth Quiz Bee bound for the national finals, a national winner in Science Quest and Jose Rizal Essay Writing and division winner and champion in various subject area competitions.

School employees also ballooned to more than 100 and all “promotables” were promoted.

“I only did my job. I do not have a talisman or anting-anting but I share the honor with you because if not for your cooperation, we would not have achieved all of these things,” she said.

A division, regional, national trainer and NEAP (National Educators Academy of the Philippines) trainer, Valoria also appealed to all students, employees, parents and stakeholders to sustain everything that were achieved.

“Everything will be useless if we do not continue to sustain what we have begun,” she said.

Valoria, who is from Refaro, San Juan, Ilocos Sur, was principal of Imelda NHS and Naglaoa-an NHS prior to her 2-year stint at San Juan NHS. She is married to Ruel Valoria, an engineer. â—Ź
