SAN JUAN, ILOCOS SUR — Some 40 employees of San Juan National High School here availed of Pag-IBIG’s Loyalty Card Plus, February 3, as Pag-IBIG continues to bring its services to DepEd employees.
Vigan Branch’s Loyalty ID Card Operators Kirby Calub and Ren Brendon Piano said the new loyalty card is now equipped with a security chip. Aside from serving as a discount card at various business establishments, the new card will now serve as a bank ATM card with the Asian United Bank (AUB) and to transact loans with Pag-IBIG. Coming off with the card is the owner’s pin number with the AUB.
“We have been upgrading the old card since 2019 and this upgrade not only provides more benefits for the card holder but also it is more secured with the infusion of a security chip,” Calub said.
Calub also said that the local meaning of Pag-IBIG is Pagtutulungan para sa Kinabukasan: Bangko, Ikaw, Industriya at Gobyerno.
A Pag-IBIG Loyalty Card Plus holder can avail discounts up to 50% at some 150 business establishments. The more popular establishments operating in the province honoring this loyalty card are 2 Brothers (2B), K-Servico (P500 discount on motorcycles), HBC, DHL, Air 21, Puregold, Petron gas and LPG, Rusty Lopez, Fiesta Garden Hotel, Northside Doctors Hospital, Pampanga’s Best, Jockey and Curamed Pharmacy to name some.
Pag-IBIG, also known as Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF) can be availed by any government or private agencies and individuals. The monthly contribution for a government worker is 2% of his monthly basic salary while government share is pegged at P100 a month.
Pag-IBIG Vigan Branch is currently stationed at the second floor of Plaza Maestro Building in Vigan City.
