Pag-IBIG Fund warns public vs fake FB account

DAGUPAN CITY — The Pag-IBIG Fund-Dagupan Branch has warned the public against the spread of a fake Facebook account promising netizens with prizes by using the name and logo of the agency.

Corina Joyce Calaguin, information officer of Pag-IBIG Fund-Dagupan Branch, said the bogus Facebook page, “Pag-Ibig Funds Housing Loan” is asking netizens to like and share the page for a chance to win a house and lot. 

“The account is a scam and is not authorized by Pag-IBIG Fund,” Calaguin said. 

“Beware Pag-IBIG members of the fake FB page of Pag-IBIG Fund. Walang ongoing na raffle promo na ganito. Huwag magpaloko,” she added. 

She also advised the public not to make any transaction or social media engagement with this fraud account and reminded members to transact only with Pag-IBIG Fund offices and personnel.

To verify the real social media accounts, Calaguin said, the public may visit Pag-IBIG Fund’s official website: for raffle or promo announcement.

At present, the Pag-IBIG Fund only maintains one official Facebook account (

“May tsek sa tabi ng pangalan ng Pag-IBIG Fund na magpapatunay na ito ay kinikilala ng Facebook bilang tunay at opisyal na FB page ng Pag-IBIG Fund,” she said.

Likewise, Calaguin appealed to netizens to be vigilant in dealing with fake social media account and to stop sharing the posts of fake Pag-IBIG Fund page.

“Tulungan ninyo kaming sugpuin ang iligal na gawaing ito. I-report ang mga pekeng website, blog o FB page sa Pag-IBIG hotline, 724-42-44,” she added. 

She said the circulation of this account is alarming since they can be used by scammers to deceive the public and get money from unsuspecting Facebook users.
