TUGUEGARAO CITY – Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Director Juvenal Azurin has re-echoed the call of Director General Undersecretary Jose S. Gutierrez on national support and community involvement to sweep drug pushers off the streets.

Azurin elaborated that community involvement is very much sought to curb drug pushers and users in the region as anti-drug officials need informants in PDEA’s efforts to eliminate anti-illegal drugs.

The plea was made by the official after the successful buy-bust operations conducted by drug enforcement personnel, which resulted to the arrests of two suspected drug pushers in two different operations in this city.

Arrested suspects were known as Philip Augustus Pintucan, 37 years old and Jerry Salas, 28 years old.

Azurin said the two suspected drug personalities were involved in the circle of anti-illegal drug trade in Region 2.

He explained that without the support of the public who knows the whereabouts and backgrounds of the drug personalities, PDEA can do only as much as they could. He also urged local groups to be activated to help eradicate drug problems in the whole region.#
