LAOAG CITY — The Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte will launch a
summer trade fair for the Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in
collaboration with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Ilocos Norte on
Apr. 8-14, at the
Robinsons Mall Ilocos.
According to Mr. Edison Natividad, officer-in-charge of the Provincial
Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SME) Office, the event will involve a total
of 35 MSMEs who will occupy the booths
provided for them.
“Bale 35 MSMEs ang magdi-display ng kanilang mga produkto sa darating na
trade fair. Karamihan sa kanila ay galing sa ating probinsiya. May mga ilan
lang tayong inanyayahan mula sa ibang lugar upang makilahok rin sa ating
Products to be displayed include mango, dragon fruit, pastries, rice coffee, rice cracker, noodle, chichacorn, peanut butter, bagnet, longganisa, bagoong, wine, and processed foods. The non-food sector will also offer products such as inabel, binakol, buri crafts, wood crafts, souvenir items, and ornamental plants.
A cash prize will also be awarded to the chosen Best Dressed Booth for both food and non-food sector MSMEs.
Meanwhile, Natividad also mentioned that the programs and future projects of SME in the province will continue to support enterprises and help them increase their profit and market reach and exposure.
“Tuloy-tuloy pa rin ang pagtulong natin sa mga SMEs natin. Hopefully,
ang Kadiwa program natin ay madala rin sa mga bayan hanggang sa
kasuluk-sulokang barangay dito sa Ilocos Norte,”
he said. DTI has been conducting the summer trade fair for 12th times now and this is the second time that PGIN and DTI Ilocos Norte collaborated.
