PGIN gives free rides to medical workers, patients

LAOAG CITY — The Metro Ilocos Norte Council (MINC) and the Provincial Resiliency Office of the provincial government of Ilocos Norte (PGIN) are giving free transportation for health personnel and medical patients.

This is to address the absence of public transportation due to the suspension of the service since March 15, when the entire island of Luzon went into “enhanced quarantine.”

Although free, the transport service is limited to health personnel and patients residing in the province who need to undergo dialysis and chemotherapy treatment.

Those who wish to avail the service may reach the MINC Office at telephone number: 772-1212 (loc. 166), or mobile numbers: 0910-812-1758 (Smart) and 0917-116-0004 (Globe) for the arrangement of schedules.
