PGIN, PRC hold mobile outreach for new board passers, professionals

LAOAG CITY – The provincial government of Ilocos Norte (PGIN) in partnership with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) conducted a mobile outreach at the provincial auditorium last March 5.

New board-passers and professionals had their license processed or renewed during the PRC services, eliminating the need to travel to the closest regional offices in Baguio City or Tuguegarao City.

Other mobile services included application for examination, authentication of documents, certification of board ratings and passing, and release of certificate of registration.

Last February 6, a total of 2,202 residents of Ilocos Norte and neighboring provinces have availed of the PRC mobile outreach services held also in this city.

Business, agricultural, healthcare, engineering, and social science professional regulatory boards were among the 43 operating under the Commission.

Simplifying government services and making them more convenient for Ilocanos have been a priority for Gov. Imee R. Marcos, who announced in her 2015 State of the Province Address that her administration had accomplished a “simplified business permitting and licensing, registering 20,000 new businesses in the last two years, worth P4.2 billion pesos.” (With report by Mizpah Grace G. Castro, PGIN-CMO)
