PRC, Board of Nursing announce the November 2009 Nurses Exam Results

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Nursing have announced the results of the November 2009 Nurses Licensure Examination administered in sixteen (16) testing centers nationwide. Out of 94,462 examinees, 37,527 or 39.73% passed.

In Baguio City, 3,814 or 34.70% out of 10,990 examinees successfully hurdled the test while in La Union, 1,066 out of 2,986 or 35.70% examinees passed.

Initial registration for new passers is ongoing at the PRC Baguio Regional Office. Only successful Baguio examinees shall register at the Regional Office pursuant to Commission Office Order No. 2009-90 dated February 19, 2009. The Order provides for a “Register Where You Took the Exam” policy. To decongest the Regional Office and save on travel expenses, the Regional Office will accept initial registration at various mass oathtaking venues outside of Baguio. New nurses are advised to take their oath where they register. In coordination with Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) local chapters, the schedule of oathtaking/venue, oathtakine/date and time and initial registration/venue is as follows:

Baguio City/ CAP Bldg Camp John Hay, March 12, 2010; AM/PM; February 4 onwards; Baguio Regional Office;

Laoag City/ Fort Ilocandia, March 13, 2010; AM; March 13 (1-4PM) &14(9-12NN); Fort Ilocandia (Tentative);

San Fernando City/ Bangko Sentral Bldg (Tentative), March 14, 2010; AM; March 12 & 13; Lorma College Quadrangle; Dagupan City/ CSI Stadia, March 26, 2010; AM; March 24 & 25; PNA Office, PMS Bldg

Official Reports of Ratings will be distributed immediately after the oathtaking ceremonies. Certificates of Passing/Board Rating may be issued upon payment of certification fee (P75.00).

Successful examinees should personally register in order to sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals with the following requirements:

oDuly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal;

o2010 Community Tax (Cedula);

o Two (2) pieces passport-size pictures (colored with white background and nametag);

o One (1) piece 1″x1″ picture (colored with white background and nametag);

oTwo (2) sets of metered documentary stamps;

oOne (1) piece short brown envelope with name and profession;

oOriginal and photocopy of NSO Birth Certificate (original copy for presentation purposes only); and

oInitial Registration Fee of P600.00 and Annual Registration Fee of P450.00 for 2010-2013.

The Professional Identification Card and Certificate of Registration will be issued by PRC Central Office within 3-4 months after transmittal by the Regional Office.
