CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO — Key officers of Police Regional Office 1  rendered the traditional New Year’s Call on PRO1 Regional Director Police Chief Superintendent Franklin Jesus B. Bucayu at the Concord Building here January 11.

The officers were led by the command group: Police Chief Superintendent Roman A. Felix, the deputy director for administration; Police Senior Superintendent Mansue N. Lukban, the deputy director for operations; and Police Senior Superintendent Ferdinando G. Sevilla, the regional chief of directorial staff.

Other key personnel who called on the regional director included the PRO1 division chiefs (directorial staff), the four provincial directors, the battalion commander of the Regional Public Safety Battalion 1, the chief of the Regional Headquarters Support Group, the members of his special and personal staff, the heads of the PNP national support units in Region 1, and the chiefs of city police stations and Class “A” municipal police stations in the region.

PCSupt. Bucayu, in his message, wished everyone a fruitful 2012, even as he commended his men all over the region for their contribution in making 2011 a success.

“Salubungin natin ang bagong taon ng may bagong sigla at bagong pag-asa.  Dahil ako ay naniniwala na ang ating mga nasimulang mabubuting gawain ay magbubunga ng pinapangarap nating pagbabago para sa ating organisasyon at para sa buong bayan,” Bucayu said.

He also urged his men, especially the provincial directors, chiefs of police and heads of other operating units, to intensify police visibility and ensure the honest-to-goodness implementation of the Police Integrated Patrol System (PIPS).  He reminded them to set the example and serve as inspiration to their subordinates.

“I wish to underscore the PNP Chief’s call for active support to his 10-Point Action Plan.  In turn, I ask you to continue showing the way in the implementation of our program thrusts for PRO1, namely; Professional Competency, Rights-Based Policing, and Operational Effectiveness and Efficiency.   All these we should do in conformity with our overall blueprint for positive change – the Performance Governance System – Integrated Transformation Program (PGS-ITP), or Patrol 2030,” he stressed.

The New Year’s Call was followed by a command conference presided over by PCSupt Bucayu at the Masigasig Center.#
