CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO – The Region 1 police underscored its operational readiness in commemoration of the year’s All Saint’s Day and All Soul’s Day Celebration by holding simultaneous sendoff ceremonies of PNP personnel to be deployed in the different areas in the region.
More or less 700 PNP Personnel from the Police Regional Office 1 Headquarters, Police Provincial Headquarters of Pangasinan, La Union, Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte, and Regional Mobile Force Battalion 1 (RMFB1) were deployed to the different police stations as augmentation to assist in the traffic management, crowd control and security maintenance in different cemeteries region-wide.
PCSupt Romulo E Sapitula, PRO1 Regional Director spearheaded the sendoff ceremony of 324 personnel from the PRO1 RHQ and RMFB1 on October 31, 2018 at 8:00 a.m. held at the PRO1 Grandstand.
In his message, PCSupt Sapitula stressed discipline and observance of proper decorum in the performance of duties and reminded them to be friendly in dealing with the public. Prior the deployment, he also reiterated the do’s and don’ts during Undas 2018 to make sure that the personnel are equipped with proper guidance and orientation.
“In order to achieve a peaceful customary celebration of undas, we should strengthen our security measures specially that criminals are expected to take advantage of the opportunity of committing crimes in crowded areas,’’ PCSupt Sapitula added.
Meanwhile, the four PPOs also held the sendoff ceremonies with the supervision of their respective Provincial Directors. (PR – PNP PRO1 PIO)
