CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO – The Police Regional Office 1 headed by Police Chief Superintendent Ricardo C. Marquez turned-over four PNP vehicles to several Ilocos police stations in a simple ceremony held right after the traditional Monday flag raising ceremony here June 17.
Police Senior Superintendent Rodel D. Calungsud, PRO1 Deputy Regional Director for Administration handed over the symbolic keys of four Toyota Innova vehicles to the chiefs of police (COPs) of three Ilocos Sur police stations which included Santo Domingo, Bantay, and Vigan City and one in Ilocos Norte.
Police Senior Supt. Ruben R. Serapio, Chief of Regional Logistics Division also received the key of a Toyota Hi-ace Van for PRO1 headquarters.
PCSupt. Marquez, in his message read by Police Senior Supt. Calungsud said he hopes that the patrol vehicles will assist the local police in its visibility, mobility, and accessibility efforts even as he stressed that these vehicles should never be used for private or personal purposes.
Aside from the top officials of PRO1 led by Police Senior Supt. Calungsud, Senior Supt. Jonathan Ferdinand G. Miano, Deputy Regional Director for Operations (DRDO) and other senior officers attended the turn-over rites.#
