PRO1’s RPSB 1 – the best in 2011 nationwide

CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO – The Regional Public Safety Battalion 1 (RPSB1) of Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1) bested other top  contenders to bag the title for best RPSB for 2011 nationwide.

Police Chief Superintendent Franklin Jesus B. Bucayu, regional director of PRO1, said he received a confirmation from the PNP National Headquarters in Camp Crame that RPSB1 earned the highest score and was adjudged the “Best RPSB” for the year 2011.

RPSB1 won over the other top two contenders, RPSB PRO4-A and RPSB-PRO6 in bagging the award.

“We are very happy and proud for having this award. Holding a top recognition is really a great record of excellence that brings fame to Region 1 police,” Bucayu said.

The award was based on the result of the final evaluation conducted by the NHQ PNP Validation Team headed by Police Director Catalino S. Cuy, director of Special Action Force (SAF) last July 12, 2012.

Police Senior Superintendent Reynaldo G. Biay, the newly designated battalion commander, will receive the award at National Headquarters in Camp Crame during the celebration of 111th Police Service Anniversary.

Biay said the award is a great achievement that gives credit not only for RPSB 1, but for the whole PRO 1.

RPSB1 (Regional Mobile Group 1) was the best RMG of the year in 2001, 2002 and 2007.#
