Region 1 police celebrates PNP 21st Ethics Day

CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO- Region 1 Police Director Roman A. Felix has reminded all the personnel of Police Regional Office 1 to start the New Year right by doing the right things and doing things right as he stressed the importance of good moral and ethics in performing their duties during the PNP’s 21st Ethics Day Celebration last January 12.

The theme for this year’s celebration: “PNP, leading the Right Path Towards Credible and Noble Service” was spearheaded by Bishop Rodolfo S. Beltran, Bishop of San Fernando, La Union who was the guest of honor and speaker.

In his message, the bishop stressed that police authority is conceived not only as enforcement of laws for the attainment of its objectives but most especially it is seen as service.

“Service is the other experience of love and ethics and this is what challenges our youth and policemen today. A good leader in the name of service and ethics is concerned with good and evil,” Bishop Beltran added.

Bishop Beltran also cited and thanked the PRO1 for depicting an honest and ethical leadership and selfless service to the people of Region 1.

Bishop Beltran also conferred the awards to Police Superintendent Heintje L. Cañete, Chief, Regional Chaplain Service 1, Police Officer 3 (PO3) Levi C. Laguesma and PO3 Resty S. Agayo for their invaluable services and immeasurable sacrifices in delivering spiritual enhancement to the men and women of PRO1.
