SAN FERNANDO CITY- The Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1) here has successfully passed the compliance performance audit conducted by the Performance Governance System (PGS) audit team recently.
The overall PRO1’s performance during the inspection was impressive with a score of 4.1 (good practice), Police Chief Supt. Rolando E. Asuncion, Deputy Director of the Directorate for Research and Development from the PNP National Headquarters and Team Leader of the PGS Audit Team said.
He also added that PRO1 is now qualified for the Unit Revalida/Performance Governance Reporting, the last phase of Compliance Evaluation Process prior to the declaration of the compliant status.
The inspecting team conducted focused group discussion, interviews, document reviews and on-site visitation to assess if PRO1 is on the right track of the PGS Compliance Stage.
The entrance briefing was held on May 5, 2015 at the PRO1 headquarters attended by the Command Group, members of PRO1 Technical Working Group (TWG) and Regional Advisory Council (RAC) members headed by the Chairperson Hon. Rodolfo M Abat.
Meanwhile, during the exit briefing, Police Chief Supt. Nestor Felix, PRO1 regional director, stressed that all the findings, observations and recommendations by the inspecting team will be properly complied with for the best interest of the police service.
The Performance Audit is the second phase of the compliance stage which is second among the four components (Initiation, Compliance, Proficiency and Institutionalization) of the PGS pathway.#
