CAMP BGEN OSCAR M FLORENDO – The Regional Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee 1 (RLECC 1) was recognized as the best RLECC for Luzon in a ceremony held at Camp Crame, Quezon City on December 5, 2012.
Police Chief Superintendent Franklin Jesus B. Bucayu, Regional Director of Police Regional Office 1 (PRO1), said that the plaque of recognition given in honor of RLECC 1, which he chairs, validates “our steps toward relevant issues and concerns before us as public servants”.
“We make this our inspiration as we further intensify our continuing campaign to public safety even though three of our provinces were earlier tagged as election priority areas,” Bucayu stressed.
RLECC 1 garnered the top for Luzon area for successfully conducting high impact programs, projects and activities that contributed immensely to the attainment of the National Law Enforcement Coordinating Committee goals and objectives for the period of July 16, 2011 to July 15, 2012.
Meanwhile, in recent RLECC1 meetings with other members, Bucayu gave an overview of “OPLAN SPIKES” (Stop PAGs in Ilocos Region to Keep the Elections Safe) which is primarily set up to eliminate partisan armed groups in the region to ensure a secure and fair national and local elections next year.#
