SAN CARLOS CITY – The state-run Social Security System (SSS) has formally opened its new branch in this city recently to keep up with the growing number of members in Pangasinan.
The new branch is located at the second floor of San Carlos Town Center Mall in this city.
Catalina Basbas, branch manager of SSS-San Carlos City, said that in her branch, SSS members from the third district of the province can avail of the same services being offered by the other SSS branches in Pangasinan.
“The branch serves members in San Carlos City and nearby towns like Binmaley, Malasiqui, Basista and Urbiztondo,” Basbas told the Philippine Information Agency.
Basbas hopes that more people will be encouraged to join SSS through this new branch.
“SSS could provide better services to every member as it became more accessible for various transactions,” she said.
SSS mission is to manage a sound and viable social security system which shall promote social justice and provide meaningful protection to members and their families against the hazards of disability, sickness, maternity, old age, death and other contingencies resulting in loss of income or financial burden.
